Hi, I’m Nyah—welcome to Envy Yourself First, a blog dedicated to inspiring women to embrace self-love, grow in their faith, and live confidently!
You might be wondering why I named the blog Envy Yourself First. Well, it’s not about jealousy—it’s about learning to look in the mirror and truly appreciate who you are. Fun fact: “Envy” comes from my initials (N.V. for Nyah Vinegar), but the real message behind it is encouraging women to focus on themselves first and be their own biggest fan.
I started this blog because, like many women, I’ve faced my share of struggles when it comes to self-worth. As a mom and someone passionate about self-care and personal growth, I knew I had to put myself first, but it wasn’t always easy. That’s why I began journaling and reflecting on ways to prioritize my own emotional well-being. Those journals eventually became this blog—a space where I can share the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Through my faith, I’ve learned the power of letting go of worry, embracing the love that God has for me, and learning to love myself as He does. Now, I’m on a mission to help other women do the same. Whether you’re looking for faith-driven encouragement, tips on personal growth, or just a reminder that you are worthy, Envy Yourself First is here to guide you.
If you’re ready to start your own journey toward self-love and confidence, you’re in the right place!
A Little More About Me
When I’m not busy blogging or chasing my daughter and my mans around, you can usually find me with a cup of coffee in one hand and most definitely a romance novel in the other. I just love love so much, so it’s fitting that I’m writing a blog all about loving yourself and becoming the main character in your own story. If it were up to me, I’d spend the entire day curled up with a book, falling for fictional characters who somehow feel all too real. Because while self-growth is important, there’s nothing like a little escape into a good love story to recharge the soul.

Now, because I can’t be lost in a book all day (even though I wish I could!), I spend my time doing things that keep me grounded and energized—like going to the gym, running, walking outdoors, and spending time at church. These activities are a huge part of my journey to becoming the best version of myself, and they help balance out my love for escaping into fictional worlds.
Fun fact: I graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S. in Kinesiology, so health and wellness are definitely part of my foundation. But what’s most important is that everything I share on this blog comes from the heart. I write in hopes that it will one day help my daughter, as well as anyone else who could use a bit of encouragement and insight. If it’s good enough for her, you can trust it’s coming from a place of love and honesty.
