Hello everybody! If you’re here, then you’re probably like me—constantly worrying about everything, all the time. I feel like worry has been my constant companion since childhood! And for the longest time, I never really experienced true peace… until now.

You see, I’ve gone through a lot of the self-help books trying to tame my inner worrier. They were helpful, don’t get me wrong, but no book healed my heart like my Bible did. FAITH—that’s what truly made the difference. It’s like every verse I read was a gentle reminder from God saying, “Relax, I got this!”

Someone once said the Bible is God’s love letter to us. And I don’t know about you, but something about that just clicked for me. He sent His one and only son to die for ME, for YOU, for ALL of us. So what in the world am I so worried about? Why do I let my brain spiral into fear and anxiety when I am literally being loved and protected from above?

So, without further ado, here are the verses that have helped heal my worry, and the ones I turn to when fear tries to sneak back in.

1. MATTHEW 6:25-27

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your Heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?”

If the birds aren’t stressing about their next meal, why are you?

2. ISAIAH 43:2

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you WILL NOT DROWN. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”

God’s saying, “I’m with you in this, and nothing’s going to take you out.”

One of the most helpful tools I’ve found for diving deeper into scripture and letting go of worry is journaling through the Bible. Highlighting meaningful verses and reflecting on them with intention can help you build a stronger connection with God’s promises.

If you’re looking for something to assist you in your study, this Bible Journaling Kit comes with highlighters, translucent sticky notes, and tabs for organizing your favorite verses. It’s a great way to stay focused on God’s word and to keep reminders of His peace and guidance in your daily life.

3. JEREMIAH 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope.”

Rest easy—God’s got the blueprint to your life and it’s looking good!

4. MATTHEW 6:34

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

Stay in today’s lane—tomorrow has its own traffic.

5. PSALM 27:1

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—so WHY should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?”

We’re over here stressing and God’s like, “You’re safe. I got you.”

6. PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, PRAY about everything. Tell God what you need, and THANK him for all that he’s done. Then you will experience God’s PEACE, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guide your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Worrying doesn’t work. Praying does. Simple as that.

Worrying doesn’t work. Praying does.

7. 1 PETER 5:7

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

This is your reminder to give your worries to God and let Him handle them—no need to hold onto them any longer.

8. PROVERBS 3:5-6

TRUST in the Lord with ALL your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.”

Think of it like this: God’s got the ultimate map, and when you trust Him, you’ll never be led astray.

9. ISAIAH 41:10

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will STRENGTHEN you and help you. I will hold you up with my right victorious hand.”

Feeling wobbly? God’s got His hand under you, holding you steady.

10. PSALM 34:4

“I prayed to the Lord, and He answered me. He FREED me from all my fears.”

Feeling anxious? God’s always listening—no need for an appointment.

So, the next time you catch yourself spiraling into a worry storm, remember this: YOU ARE NOT ALONE. You are loved, cared for, and protected by God Himself. When we truly trust and believe in the Lord, we can rest assured that He has a plan, and it’s good. No matter what life throws our way, His strength will carry us through. So kick back, breathe, and enjoy life again—because God’s got you covered, and there’s nothing to fear when your faith is in Him.
